Submit Music to Radio Stations: Free Airplay on FnF.FM

3:23:00 PMby Arifur Rahman

If you make music, you probably know how hard it can be to get it in front of new listeners. If you want to submit music to radio stations, FnF.FM gives artists a straightforward way to send us their songs, and free submission is available.

This guide covers what to prepare before you start, how the form works and what to keep in mind after you press submit. You can read the overview on our Submit your song page, and the form itself lives at fnf.fm/submit.

Before you submit music to radio stations: what to prepare

The form is short, but it goes much faster if you have everything ready. Gather these first.

Your music files

  • One to three MP3 files. You can send a single song or up to three songs at once.
  • Each file under 12 MB. A well-encoded MP3 of a typical song fits comfortably. If a long track is too big, try exporting it again at a slightly lower bitrate.
  • Your final mix. Send the finished, mastered version, not a demo or a rough mix.

Our radio-ready MP3 checklist covers bitrate, tags, loudness and file size. It is worth a read before you export.

Album art (optional)

You can include album art as a JPG, PNG or WebP file under 5 MB. It is optional, but a clear, well-designed cover makes your release look finished and helps listeners recognise it. Our album art design tips explain how to make a cover that works at small sizes.

Your details

The form asks for:

  • Song title
  • Artist name
  • Album (optional)
  • Genres
  • Country
  • Email

Write the song title and artist name exactly as you want them to appear. Check the spelling carefully, especially if your name or title uses words from Bangla, Hindi or another language written in English letters. Pick one spelling and use it everywhere.

Filling in the song submission form

  1. Open the form at fnf.fm/submit.
  2. Upload your MP3 files. Add one, two or three songs, each under 12 MB.
  3. Add album art if you have it.
  4. Enter the song title, artist name and album, if there is one.
  5. Choose your genres. Be honest and specific. Accurate genres help your song reach the right listeners.
  6. Select your country.
  7. Enter your email, so we can reach you about your submission if we need to.
  8. Confirm the rights. You must confirm that you own the rights to the music and that you agree to non-paid promotional airplay.
  9. Submit.

About rights and free radio airplay

The rights confirmation is important, so please read it carefully rather than ticking it out of habit. By confirming, you are saying that you own the rights to the song and that you agree to it being played on FnF.FM as non-paid promotional airplay. In plain terms, this is free exposure. It is not a paid licence, and no payment is made for airplay through free submission.

If you worked with other writers, producers or a label, make sure they are happy for you to submit the song before you do. If you used samples, make sure they are cleared.

The full details are in our Song Submission Terms. Please read them before you submit, so you know exactly what you are agreeing to.

What happens after you submit your song

Once you submit, your song is sent to us along with the details you entered. Free submission does not guarantee a set number of plays or a set time slot. Please be patient, and avoid sending the same song again and again, as repeat submissions do not speed anything up.

While you wait, here are a few useful things to do:

  • Listen to the station that fits your music, so you get a feel for what it plays.
  • Keep your details consistent across your other profiles, so listeners can find you easily if they hear you on air.
  • Tell your fans about FnF.FM. Listeners can check the Recently played screen to find songs they have just heard.

Want guaranteed airplay?

Free submission is a great starting point. If you want your song played on a regular, fixed schedule for a set period, our paid music promotion plans offer that, with delivery within 12 hours. Our honest comparison of paid radio promotion and free submission can help you decide what suits your release.

  • Album art as JPG, PNG or WebP under 5 MB (optional)
