Online Radio App for English, Bangla and Hindi | FnF.FM

12:57:00 PMby Arifur Rahman

FnF.FM has always had one simple promise: music that keeps playing, day and night, wherever you are. That promise has not changed, but the way you reach it has. The new FnF.FM is an online radio app that brings our three stations, English, Bangla and Hindi, together in one place, and it runs in your web browser.

You do not need to download anything or create an account. Open fnf.fm, press play, and the music starts. This post walks you through what is new and what you can do right now.

One online radio app for three stations

The new FnF.FM puts everything under one roof. The English, Bangla and Hindi stations share the same simple layout, so once you know how one works, you know how they all work. Our introduction to the English, Bangla and Hindi radio stations explains what each one is for.

Switching is quick. Go to the Stations page, pick the one you want, and you are listening. Plenty of people move between languages depending on the time of day or the mood they are in, and the new app is built with that in mind.

The Listen screen: live stream and cover art

The Listen screen is where most of your time will be spent. It plays the live stream and shows you the song playing now, along with its cover art. Not every track has artwork. When there is no cover art, the screen shows an animated music visual that moves with the music, so there is always something alive on the screen while you listen.

On supported browsers you will also see a Play on a speaker or TV button. If your browser offers it, you can send the stream to a compatible speaker or television in the room.

Find a song you just heard

We have all been there. A song finishes, you loved it, and you have no idea what it was called. The Recently played screen solves that: it shows the songs each station played recently, so you can scroll back and find the one that caught your ear.

See what is coming up on the schedule

The Schedule page lets you check what is planned for the stations. It is a handy place to look before you settle in for a long listening session.

Request a song on any station

Radio feels different when you can shape it a little. On the Request page you choose a station, enter the artist and the song title, and, if you like, add a dedication and your name. The station's request system also needs an email address.

Your request goes straight into that station's request queue. Requested songs usually play within about 30 minutes. If you switch on Alert me when it plays, you will be told when your song comes on, as long as FnF.FM is open on that device.

For artists: submit your music

FnF.FM is not only for listeners. If you make music, you can send it to us, and our Submit your song page explains the process. You can upload one to three MP3 files, add album art if you have it, and fill in a few details about the release. Free submission is available.

For artists who want regular, scheduled airplay over a set period, we also offer paid music promotion with four plans to choose from. We cover both options in more detail in our guide to submitting music to radio stations for free airplay and our comparison of paid radio promotion and free submission.

What you can do today

  • Listen to the live stream on the Listen screen.
  • Switch between the English, Bangla and Hindi stations.
  • Look back at recently played songs on each station.
  • Check the schedule.
  • Request a song, with an optional dedication.
  • Submit your own music if you are an artist.

A radio app that runs in your browser, wherever you are

FnF.FM is for people who love music in English, Bangla and Hindi, and many of them live far from where that music was first made. Whether you are at home, at work or thousands of miles from the place you grew up, we want the stations to feel close.

Because the app runs in a browser, it works on phones, tablets and laptops alike. There is nothing to install and nothing to update. When we improve something, you simply see the new version the next time you open it.
